ERAMAN Rocks Its 25th Anniversary with Style
Two Mercedes-Benz and many lucrative prizes worth more than RM1.2 million up for grabs
 
The 2018 ERAMAN Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears Contest kicked off with a bang at KLIA. The event was officiated by Yang Mulia Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad.
     

Sepang, 4 July 2017 – Fans and patrons of Eraman, Malaysia’s largest airport travel retail and duty free brand operated by Malaysia Airports, will be pleased to know that they have an exciting chance to drive home not one, but two new luxurious and stylish cars, the Mercedes Benz CLA Coupe 200 AMG Line as part of the new 2018 Eraman Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears Contest. The announcement marks the many exciting offerings available in-store in conjunction with the company’s 25th anniversary celebration.

With prizes totalling more than RM1.2 million, the Eraman Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears Contest 2018 kicked off with a bang at KLIA today in an event officiated by Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin, acting group chief executive officer of Malaysia Airports.

Azmi said, “Eraman is the first retailer within Malaysia Airports to launch shopping campaigns that give out prizes of this scale to its customers. Since our very first Eraman Shopping Extravaganza campaign in 2016 which attracted more than 250,000 loyal patrons, the tremendous support has seen the campaign make a fabulous come back for its third year with a peak in participation of some 420,000 loyal patrons in 2017. This year, our Eraman Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears Contest is specially tailored to our airport customers in conjunction with Eraman’s 25 years of existence in the travel retail and duty free industry.”

With a minimum spend of RM350 at any Eraman participating outlets, customers will stand a chance to win not one but two luxury cars and many lucrative prizes. Other prizes include international holiday packages for two to Scotland, Austria, and Switzerland, gift vouchers, designer handbags and jewellery as well as points for Petron Miles Card.

Azmi also added that the airport shopping has become an integral part of air travel. According to him, KLIA is one of the world’s busiest airports and aims to live up its mission of creating joyful experiences.

“One of the ways is to continuously carry out campaigns to reward travellers and our loyal customers. With the significant growth in 2017 of 8.5% to 96 million at all airports in Malaysia, a recorded total MAHB retail sales at our airports improved by 24% as compared to 2016,” Azmi said.

“The 2018 Eraman Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears Contest, offering a range of promotional activities with a strong selection of global and local brands to suit travellers all budgets, aims to effectively tap into the number of international and local travellers patronising the airports, boost awareness of Eraman outlets and increase brand presence. With the campaigns’ impressive performance in the past, this four-month campaign – from 1 July until 31 October 2018, is projected to record a double-digit revenue growth for Eraman,” added Azmi.

“We want to make Eraman a destination of choice rather than just a compulsory phase of the customer’s journey. Our goal is to attract passengers to spend more time at the airport by giving a joyful Malaysian experience in terms of shopping, convenience and value purchases,” Azmi said further.

As Eraman embarks on its 25th year, the brand continues to strive hard in ensuring that its relationship with travel industry partners and brand owners is further strengthened. Partners such as Diageo PLC (representing Johnnie Walker and other brands such as The Singleton of Glendullan, Smirnoff and Bailey’s Irish Cream), Malayan Banking Berhad and Petron International Sdn Bhd have been roped in for this campaign to help grow the Eraman brand further in the travel retail and duty free industry.
